Join Us for the Gourmet Alley Ribbon Cutting Event!

The City of Gilroy, in partnership with the Gilroy Downtown Business Association, Visit Gilroy, and the Gilroy Chamber of Commerce, invites you to celebrate the completion of the Gourmet Alley Project!

Join us at 9:00 AM as we cut the ribbon on this exciting improvement in the heart of Gilroy, providing safer, cleaner connectivity to our downtown and pedestrian-friendly spaces for connecting and relaxing.

Then come back for the Downtown Business Expo at 5:00 PM, featuring a selection of Downtown Gilroy businesses where you’ll have a chance to sample, mingle, and enjoy community in our new alley space.

The Gourmet Alley Project, funded by a California Department of Transportation Clean California Grant, was aimed towards improvements to Gourmet Alley, including upgraded pedestrian pathways, enhanced lighting for safety, improved landscaping to beautify our downtown, resurfaced parking lots, and shared trash enclosures to remove blight from the alley. These improvements provide a space, away from busy roads and cars, that can be used for outdoor dining and entertainment, and downtown events.
